Glass not crystal!
My wife and I enjoy a glass of port wine in the evening, but it’s not very convenient when you don’t have a decanter. After reading some cautions about lead crystal (supposedly the lead can leach out of the crystal into the wine), I found this glass decanter on Amazon and decided to try it. Unfortunately, the first one was destroyed enroute. The good news is that the second attempt arrived intact. We’ve only had it for a few weeks now and have already received some favorable comments on its appearance. I also worried about capacity, but I shouldn’t have as a standard bottle of wine doesn’t come close to filling it.

Great little decanter at amazing price
This is a nice size, nice heavy weight and I like the neck – it is easy to grasp and pour. It fits nicely on the beverage shelf of my refrigerator to keep white wine chilled. I’ve ordered a second one to hold red. Some reviewers noted that the packaging was insufficient and the item was arriving broken. I can see why. The decanter was all alone in a thin box with no wrapping or protection. Apparently Amazon got tired of returns, because mine arrived with the original box wrapped in a lot of bubble wrap, taped tightly. No problems.

Nice functional decanter
I ordered this decanter in order to decant a couple of bottles with degraded corks. I was looking for something attractive and inexpensive. This decanter fit the bill. It is nice looking, and has a seal around the stopper to keep air out. I was a bit worried when I received the box as I heard glass clanging around. There was no packaging around the glass. Fortunately it was the stopper clanging against the body, and there was no damage done. You really can’t go wrong, it’s simple, inexpensive, and attractive.

A nice product. The stopper works well
Some wines benefit from decanting prior to drinking. I found it hard to take such wines to BYOB restaurants because most decanters do not have stoppers. This decanter has a nice fitting stopper and is perfect for decanting a wine in the house and taking it with to a restaurant or a friend’s house. Now my Barolo’s can join me when dining out instead of only enjoying them at home!

Good value
Like some others, I am amazed that this managed to make it over from Italy unbroken given that the stopper is loose in the box with no packing!Otherwise, it’s a functional decanter. Nothing fancy but value for money.

Nice Collection of Glass Shards
This nice-lookin decanter was apparently packaged by two ill-trained monkeys! “Fine” glass requires extra packing. I’ve received iron tools better padded than this.

simple glass
Okay, I am really using this for mouthwash in my bathroom. It looks a lot nicer than the plastic bottle the stuff comes in, and takes up a little less space (I am cheap and buy the biggest mouthwash I can). The top works well, and it’s much more elegant on the counter top. Attractive and useful.

Honestly, I think for a starter decanter its great. I do agree with previous posts, the way it was shipped wasnt exactly appealing. However it was not broken and came in timely manner. I have no complaints it was what I asked for.

Cheap price, great quality.
I have had, and used, this product for about two weeks now. I enjoy using it for personal, and party purposes. It is exactly how it appears in the picture! The glass is not as thin as other decanters are, so it wont break easily when cleaning. I have received nothing but great comments on this decanter when having company over!

A real wine saver.
This was a gift for our daughter who enjoys a glass a wine with dinner. She requested it based on the wine losing some of it greatness when not properly sealed. This fill the bill. Only wish it had not been so plain. A little pattern would really make this product pop.

Not the Most Beautiful, But Functional and Affordable
This decanter is a great value for under $15 if it arrives in one piece. The thin carboard box it came in contained no padding, so the glass was able to bounce around freely. Thankfully the glass is thick enough, so that it isn’t too fragile and the Amazon packaging can compensate. The quality of the bottle is fairly good and I wouldn’t be ashamed to leave it sitting at the table with dinner guests. The visible seems in the glass clearly indicate a mass produced item. The glass stopper is hollow with a plastic covered base that provides for a snug, air tight fit.I paired this decanter with the
WMF Vino Stainless-Steel 4-Way Funnel
and they work perfectly together. The neck of the decanter is wide enough to receive the base of the funnel and the wine has plenty of room to gently cascade down the sides of the bottle. A 750 ml bottle of wine easily fits in and there is still enough surface area to allow the wine to breathe. You will not get an entire magnum 1.5l bottle in this decanter.I like the shape of this decanter more than the popular style with the wide base. You don’t have to tip it almost upside down to get the last glass of wine out. I would recommend wrapping a towel or napkin around the neck to catch that single drop of wine that always tends to remain on the lip.Cheers!

Great BUT!
This is a great product and I would have given it a higher rating but it is mislabeled. They claim it’s a 1.5 liter capacity it is only 1.24208824 liter capacity. My use really required the 1.5L.

Very Good but Not Normal Bormioli
My husband and I are fans of Bormioli products as we purchased our recent wedding Bormioli Champagne Flutes (from Amazon) and were extremely pleased with them. With the purchase of this item we also ordered the Bormioli Rocco Premium Carafe 50 6/8 oz which arrived in the same Amazon package. We bought the Carafe for water and this decanter for cold brewed tea. Although the decanter is very nice and we are glad we purchased it; it just does not seem to live up to the outstanding quality of other Bormioli products. It was also concerning because with most products the Bormioli name is etched into the glass (such as with the Premium Carafe we also ordered) that is not the case with this particular decanter causing us to question the authenticity of the product. Perhaps, because the price is considerably less, lesser quality should be expected but we were slightly disappointed. However, overall, we do like the decanter, it looks good and is worth the price…but don’t expect the heavy, outstanding quality that is normally found with Bormioli products.

Nice utility carafe
This is a very nice piece of utility glass for every day use. They still haven’t figured out how to pad the shipment tho, using bubble wrap to cover the outside of the box and leaving the glass stopper loose inside. No damage but not for want of trying! Otherwise, shiny!

An excellent large decanter
I got tired of having large wine bottles (used for cooking) on my counter and wanted something nicer. This quality decanter fits the bill perfectly. It’s heavy, plain and looks good. I bought one, for red wine; buying another for white. Stopper fits tightly. Slight problem, stopper was loose and banging around the box but no damage was done. It should have been taped down for shipping. If you want a nice-looking inexpensive decanter, this one is highly recommended.Update: The second one arrived also with the stopper banging around the box, loose. There is no packing material; the bottle is just thrown in the box. This Italian company really needs to improve their packaging. Fortunately, unlike some other that have had problems,, there was no damage. I am leaving seller feedback.

I Love It! It’s Perfect!
This arrived well before Christmas and was a present to myself. I ordered it to replace a decanter with a bottom that was too large that I had given to the Goodwill. It is simple, yet elegant. I don’t mind the seams; they are barely noticeable.I will be proud to serve my guests with this decanter. It fits perfectly on my little drinks table; it will accommodate more than a bottle of wine; and it complements the traditional style of my home. I would suggest the manufacturer wrap the stopper in tissue paper because it was loose and clinking against the decanter. Fortunately, it arrived when I returned home from work, and the UPS man handed it to me very gently, so nothing was broken. I am so happy and pleased! What a good bargain. I see it is out of stock, so I will be very careful so as not to break it. I was also relieved that it didn’t have that weird plastic thingy at the bottom.

fragile
This may not be the product fault, but decanter arrived with the topper broken. A large chip of glass broke from the topper, and a tiny chip of glass on the actual bottle.Just think it was possibly delivery, or a very fragile decanter. It was inexpensive though. so good deal for the price.

It arrived safely…almost surprised though
A very decent decanter, well made, just the shape we wanted. But as others, the nice glass stopper was completely loose next to the glass container’ the rubber ring seal on stopper would not have protected it. Very nice decanter for price; but the manufacturer just needs a bit wrapping on inside of box.

Cheap looking but functional – now has better packaging
The glass looks a little cheap and the seam is super ugly, but it’ll do the job. The topper seems to seal in nicely. One thing to note is that the seller must have seen the Amazon reviews complaining about the poor packaging because it was greatly improved…almost excessively. Two layers of bubble wrap, large inflatable plastic packing, and two boxes.

These are great!
We used these for herb infused olive oil as gifts and they turned out beautiful. The bottles are simple elegance and nice heavy glass. The only complaint is that in shipping, the tops were not taped to the bottles and some came loose and chipped the necks. If they pack them better I would give them all 5 stars.

Winos will love it
I gave this as a gift to one of my wino friends and she absolutely loves it. I was looking for a decanter that was substantial and not frail, dainty glass, but that was also classic and stylish. This decanter achieved that. I even put it on my own wish list since I admired it so much. Hopefully someone will gift it to me!

Great decanter for the price!
The decanter arrived on time and in great condition. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because, like other reviewers, I found the packing material was not sufficient. Nothing was broken, but to hear things rolling around clinking together doesn’t give the best impression. It’s a great product for the price. I would definitely buy this again!

Perfect for our needs
Purchased 2 of these for the wedding to fill with boxed wine. They are a great size (holds about 1.5 average size wine bottles) and look nice too. My only complaint in the seam on the glass is a little obvious but if you are looking for a simple inexpensive decanter than these are perfect.

Decent decanter
I’ve been using this for a few weeks now. It’s a nice design, glass seems very heavy duty, stopper fits nicely. Only downside is that the glass is not the prettiest. It has noticeable imperfections, but that’s just aesthetics. The product is functional and well priced for what it is.

I like this, it is pretty much what I expected
I like this, it is pretty much what I expected. However, when I went to open the box the outside of the box was all wrapped in bubble wrap, but I could hear clinking glass inside the box. They should have used some of that bubble wrap in the item inside the box! As I opened it I was sure it was broke and it wasn’t, but that was just shear luck.

Nice but damaged upon receipt
The decanter arrived on time. However, within the manufacturer’s packaging (box) the lid was loose. This caused a chip on the neck of the bottle as well as the lid. Returned item for a refund as I was not convinced the same thing wouldn’t happen again based on the original mfg packaging.

Nice
This is a practical, nice looking decanter but I found another use for it. I use this in my bathroom as a holder for mouthwash. It’s nice not having everything on your bathroom sink looking like a pharmacy check out counter!

A lovely pour
In a household of Italians, this is a wonderful addition. One glass of wine, each, per day leaves an open bottle and ruins the wine. The deal on this decanter holds the wine beautifully. Decanting a newly opened bottle aerates the wine for a quick pour. Just don’t expect to each it in the dishwasher, wash by hand.

Value is good, Packaging terrible
Product is fine, but the packaging in the box leave a LOT to be desired. The lid was just sitting in the box rattling around. It took a chip out of the rim of the bottle in transit. The bottle is still usable which is why I’m not asking for a refund. But I do hope better packaging is used since this is really not great and I could see it causing more damage.

Shapely, Inexpensive, Practical
We have been using the new carafe about 2 months and really like it. First, we love the shapely design. We think it looks attractive on our kitchen counter. Second, we think it is a good value for the money (we paid less than $15 on Amazon). Third, the top is large enough that we can pour our box wine into it without using a funnel. (Now you understand why we wanted an attractive decanter.) The stopper has a plastic base which makes a good seal for keeping air out of it. It is often days between uses. We have noticed that when you pour out a glass of wine, a single drop hangs on to the rim. That’s no big problem for us because a napkin or dish cloth cleans it up quickly and we have another carafe for white wine that we keep in the refrigerator that does the same thing.

Fits the bill perfectly
I never realized how difficult is was to find a decent, affordable wine decanter until I started looking for one in the department store chains and on their websites. So thank you Amazon for helping me out! This wine decanter was purchased for my parents who discarded of their old decanter because the cork seal on the stopper had deteriorated. We are pleased with the style and size of the bottle. It shouldn’t be too difficult to clean and the plastic seal on the stopper won’t dry out like cork does. And for the price, I felt that I couldn’t go wrong. As someone else stated, it holds a full 750 ml bottle of wine. If you buy jug wine, this is easy to fill and is a lot more manageable to pour from. I’m glad I decided to purchase two.

Reminds me of soda bottle glass !
It’s a decent size , and came in a nicely stamped box. The glass of the canter is thick and clunkier than I’d have expected. It does have raised letters ITALY on the bottom But it’s definitely cheaper molded glass. The line you see on the Amazon picture is actually a mold seam not a design.Molded glass similar to old soda bottles. For $5 more you can get blown glass $10 more crystalI didn’t want something so delicate it would break easy ( blown glass )Or heavy like crystal can be ..So I guess it’s okay ?,

Exactly what I needed.
I am using this in my bathroom to hold mouthwash. If you have ever wanted to use a potion bottle in a video game then this is the one for you.The only issue I had was that the lid had popped off during transport and could have broken something. There is zero soft material inside the box, no bubble wrap or other soft materials.That being said. Mine had no damage out of the box.

Sturdy
We ordered 2 different carafes. The crystal one came in broken. This one had an unwrapped stopper that was banging around inside the box, but it and the carafe were both undamaged. So, it is very sturdy and the design is elegant although the seams are visible. For $16, it is fine.

Good Decanter…
I’ve had this for several months now. I truly have become a believer in airing the wine out. Remarkable the difference in taste!So, on to the Decanter. It’s been commented on numerous times for it’s understated good looks. It is very functional and cleaning it is a breeze, hot water and a quick spin and pour it out, it’s clean!People complain, on here, that it has a plastic stopper. I prefer it to the glass on glass because it won’t chip, which has infuriated me in the past. Nothing like tossing a freshly poured bottle down the drain because of glass shards!There are infinitely more expensive and stylish decanters out there. But, this one just works, well. And won’t break the budget!

As expected.
Okay, so this isn’t super swanky. But if you’re in the market for an average (read: sturdy, unassuming, etc.) decanter to hide your cheap wine or whiskey, then look no further. I mainly bought this particular one because of its stopper. I live in a tropical climate and need protection from airborne foes of all varieties. This product isn’t expensive, nor does it feel expensive. The glass is very thick and one can see imperfections in the texture. Not the sort of paper-thin, crystal-clear, oversized decanters that are in vogue today w/ the oenophiles of today. But who cares?

Vino en buenas condiciones y coincide con la descripción, tiene la goma alrededor de la tapa para ajustarla. No viene con ninguna protección adentro de la caja y por ejemplo en nuestro caso podría haber sido un riesgo a qué se rompa porque la tapa no estaba enganchada a la botella y durante el viaje podría haberse roto pero el producto mismo esta perfecto

Not new
Package arrived, and I was very excited to have my decanter. This was obviously a returned item. It was not sealed, and the stopper was not with the package. Therefore it’s useless, however, they are sending me a new one but now I have to go through the hassle of returning the defective one. Total pain.
