Works pretty well, until it breaks. They seem to last around a year.
I ordered one of these and used it for a year before the screw part separated from the handle. I ordered another identical one, and that lasted a year too before it failed in the same way. This model corkscrew is slightly more pleasant to use than some others of a similar type. At least they are inexpensive, so I don’t feel too bad at having to replace them. But after two failures, I probably won’t order this model again.

Very good quality but……
This opener is very well made and easy to use but the spiral screw is too thick so on an older real corkit tends to tear and break it up into pieces so you have to be careful. This makes enough of a difference to me that I would return it but I’m past the 30 days so I’ll have to live with it knowing that most wines today have newer synthetic corks that I’m hoping won’t be a problem.

Best I’ve ever owned
I have always struggled with corkscrews and thus, have ingested more crumbled cork than recommended by the Food and Drug Administration. : ) This is the first one that was EASY for me at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Best I’ve ever had!!
Previous wine openers in this style have been difficult to use and didn’t last long. This one is easy to use, the screw goes in easily into the cork, and (most important) it doesn’t hurt my hands to remove it. Also, getting the cork off after opening is quite easy.I highly recommend!!

Good company to work with
This is a revised review. Based on my input the company has offered me a refund and will modify the product. It seems like a very robust product so I look forward to a corkscrew that will be easier to use.

Design?
The screw mechanism is a bad design. Too thick to penetrate the cork. Tears the cork up and causes a mess. Others openers with a more traditional “screw” do a much better job the one in the left does a horrible job. Good wine opener and accessories
Like the versatility as well as appearance of the accessories.That said, I noticed the seal on the box was broken and a small dent was in the box; the packaging was good and there were no tears or dings in the packaging. Shipment was well done. It looked like the box may have been opened before it was shipped, perhaps a return? Items inside the box were in their plastic wrappings without any damage. All pieces looked good.

Pretty Good
We had one of these for 3 years and 3 months. That is about 2 years longer than any previous openers we have had. It got s steady workout used 5 or 6 times a week so we have just ordered another one.

Excellent cork screw
This corkscrew has the screw centered along a perpendicular axis. The result is that the cork is entered perpendicularly into the top surface of the cork. This makes the entry of the screw into the cork clean and straight with no destruction of the cork.Other corkscrews have screws which are off-centered and are formed like a curlicue with the point stopping at angle to the cork surface. The design of these corkscrews often result in cork damage, particularly if the cork has dried up a bit, and often results in the cork breaking apart and not being able to be removedl

Issues with opener but company made good on it
Purchased on Feb. 8, 2023. Fell apart on April 23, 2023. Used twice per week. I can’t say that this is a quality product!!! UPDATE: Company redeemed themselves by sending me another opener. Also, a nice gift for my troubles.

Breaks after short period of time.
Because I have arthritis in my hands this product was easy to use. What I didn’t like is it broke in less than six months. Where the corkscrew connects, completely snapped!

Fancy
Easy to use, however the lip does not always fit the size of the cork. You can overpower the cork initially but it makes a mess when having to remove it from the screw. When using this on the right size of cork this works perfectly.

Extremely solid
Amazon reviews can be confusing sometimes, like the ones for this cork puller. In most cases it is because the reviews cover more than one version of an item.This review is for the all metal version of this opener. It is as solid and as well constructed as a wine bottle opener can be. It is hard for me to imagine this thing breaking even if it is abused. If you are looking for an opener that will last long enough to hand down to your kids, this is it.

Purchased this wine opener about 6 months ago and today it broke. We used it a few times a week so it got a lot of use in that 6 months but not a heavy duty one.Update: Company has great customer service and was able to remedy the problem.

Lasted less than 4 months. Not long enough to get to end of cork.
As others have said, this corkscrew is not of the quality it claims. The screw portion is not long enough to get through the cork, meaning you have to rock it or gradually pull and re-screw to get the cork out. It obviously cannot handle the stress.Update: the seller sent me a new one AND refunded my money. Hopefully it will be better than the last one.

Extremely easy to use.
I must admit I was very reluctant to buy this. I had one that I had had for years and years, but I misplaced it. My old one was extremely well made and had been used in a bar.I love the cushioned handle and the design overall. It has a classical look about it. The opener is extremely easy to operate which is a huge PLUS for me, as I have very arthritic thumbs.

Don’t use the corkscrew to remove the foil on top of cork.
Customer service was very good. They immediately replaced it after I stupidly broke it by misusing it to scrape off the foil atop the cork. Don’t use it that way and it should last a long time. Only use it straight up and down to pull the cork.

Much improvement over old opener
Had our old one for many, many years. The interior screw became bent and the tip was dull. This opener is much sturdier, has great grip for the neck of the bottle and removing the cork is easy. Would highly recommend

Worked easily as expected
Do NOT buy this. The main screw which gets driven into the cork is NOT solid zinc alloy as they advertise. The center of the shaft is plastic surrounded by metal. One night, as I was pushing down the arms to raise the cork out of the bottle, it just broke off leaving half the screw in the cork… done. No more use.
