Bought for a glass wine decanter
I bought our neighbor and myself glass wine decanters after a trip to Napa. These fit perfect on top if I want to open the wine before dinner but don’t want to leave it uncovered for longer than an hour. Easy to take on and off.

Love these! They serve their purpose of closing the decanter off from pests or debris but don’t get stuck. The round shape makes them perfect for different sized decanters! I will say, they do stain, so if you don’t mind red blotches after a while, they’re perfect.

Kind of synthetic weird material
If you want something that feels like natural cork, this is not what you want. It felt like a press of pretty finely ground cork or something. It was OK, but I wouldn’t really recommend it.

Just ok
They do not seal over the wine hole so gnats can still enter your decanter. Just ok wouldn’t recommend. Also, I bought too large ones the 1st time thinking it would fit anyway. Nope, so the measurements count!

They work.
If you’re buying these stoppers make sure you measure the mouth of the decanter. Not all stoppers are the same size. That said these stoppers work great. They do what their suppose to do.

Unangenehmer Geruch beim Auspacken
Ich habe diese Kork-Kugeln als – vom Material her unbedenkliches – Spielzeug für meine Katze gekauft. Beim öffnen der Plastikpackung kam mir schon ein chemischer Geruch entgegen. Ich habe sie gründlich abgespült und trocknen lassen. Dann ging es. Definitiv nichts für sensible Weingenießer.Der Kork ist ziemlich kompakt und sehr fest, was die Kugeln – für meine Erwartung – überraschend schwer macht. Für wen das wichtig ist: Sie sind übrigens nicht ganz rund, sondern dezent Ei-förmig.

Clever idea
Looks good atop the carafe. One star taken off for the stain it gets when replacing after pouring red. After awhile, it won’t clean off and not as attractive. A clear coating of some type would be an improvement. But it does the job and looks better than tinfoil!

Nicely round, with a small plug
It’s hard to see in the photos, but these balls have a small (1 cm ~ 1/2″) plug made of what looks like fine particle reconstituted cork.The balls are nicely spherical, so I assume they were machined and the plug hides where the lathe gripped the ball.If you need round cork balls and don’t mind the little plug, these are the balls for you!

Almost perfect
Our decanter might be just slightly the wrong size, or perhaps the cork ball is, but it sits a bit on top of the opening, rather than slightly into the neck. However, the cork ball is of good quality and we do use it occasionally.Happily, often the wine is often ‘gone’, and corking the decanter isn’t often needed.We found better result after several tries, by pouring the wine back into its bottle and corking it there.

Great In A Decanter. Bad In A Wine Glass.
This works flawlessly as a decanter stopper. The size and weight are perfect and the stopper cleans easily. The only drawback–more like operator error–is that after a few glasses I frequently absentmindedly drop it into the wine glass I just finished filling instead of the decanter mouth. Quite difficult to remove. The price of oenophilia, I suppose.

These came in a ripped open plastic bag, covered in dust and appear dirty like they’ve been used. Returning as I already bought a better quality product elsewhere.

Aesthetic and practical
It fit the carafe I bought very well. My worry was that it would stay stuck in the carafe opening if it fit too well but it’s perfect. Also when I’m not using the carafe it does a good job of keeping dust out of the inside so it’s readily useable
