ELEGANT AND MASCULINE
If you read my review in the whiskey smoker, I referenced these glasses. These are the original whiskey sipping glasses. A wee bit hefty (no spills), shaped to fit a man’s hands (warm the whiskey) with the slight curve to hold the smoke flavor when your gentleman wants to s “smoking sip”. Perfect for gift giving.

Smaller than expected
I bought these as a gift for my husband. I was expecting a bigger box and normal sized whisky glasses. These are only about half that size. He likes adding ice to his, there really isn’t much room for ice unless you’re drinking a few sips at a time. lol It would be more like a shot of whisky. They are nice looking. They’d make a nice addition if you’re collecting whisky glasses.

GLENCAIRN WHISKEY GLASSES GREAT FOR TASTINGS
I read from other reviews these are the essential whiskey tasting glasses so I purchased a set of 4 as a Fathers’ Day gift for my son. Had a chance to ‘field test’ last night while visiting. They have delicate feel in hand and truly concentrate the aroma of the whiskey so you can really savor the smell. Of course, with crystal clear glass you also can enjoy the color. My son poured a few samples of different whiskies for myself and his brother and for small quantity tastings, these glasses are excellent. If you enjoy single malt whiskies and sampling the many on the market, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a few. Available in sets of 2 & 4…you know where you can buy them!

Overtime, many people with use this awarded, innovative style of glass to enjoy whiskeys. Designed in 2006.
Quick Delivery. At first I gave this 4 stars but as I wrote the review I realized I should give it 5. The glasses are PERFECT for enjoying whiskeys including bourbon and scotch. I was intrigued with this relatively new shaped glass. The bulb bottom allows some air to mingle over the drink and the small opening of the glass concentrates the “nose” of the whiskey so its distinct flavors are easier to discern than a wide low glasses that have been the tradition. The clear glass shows the color much like we want to see with wines. The heavy bottom makes the small glass easy for man-hands to hold but still compact enough for smaller lady-hands (me) to enjoy the liquor without feeling as if I’m holding on to a glass like I hold on to a softball (sports reference). My fingers are not spread apart holding a heavy tumbler. I am brand new to this family of liquors. With at trip to Scotland and England coming up in a few months I thought it time to have a cursory understanding of the flavors for when we go on 2 distillery tours. I received coaching that I should first start with a sweet bourbon, such as Maker’s Mark,and then move forward with the complexity. Living in Chicago there are some whisky tasting classes that I will attend prior to the trip. These glasses were a great way to start on my own. I genuinely think the smaller opening gives me a greater appreciation for the nose of the liquor. There is also adequate room for water or ice. I initially gave it 4 stars because the quality of glass is standard. Once I started gushing in my review I recalled that the pricing is extremely reasonable so the ROI is high.

These glasses really make a difference
These whisky glasses improve the taste. I did a side by side taste test with a very expensive scotch and the overall taste was improved using the Glencirn glass. Great gift for someone who enjoys fine whisky.

Great for sharing Scotch
I bought this so that I could share scotch with friends. It feels nice in my hand and does what it needs to do—hold scotch and help the smells and flavors get to my nose and mouth. These are also difficult glasses for caught spiders to escape from.

These appear to be the real Glencarin crystal glasses, not fakes. Perfect glass for sampling and tasting. Make a great gift for any whisk(e)y fan.They are fairly durable for glassware. I have dropped them in the sink before without them chipping or cracking. No guaranties however. :-)Note that these are intended for “neat” pours. The mouth is narrow. If you want to sample your beverage with ice, there is also a “Mixer” glass available.

2nd Purchase
Bought a pair for starters and was so pleased that I a bought 4 more for entertaining. These are perfectly shaped and sized for maximum enjoyment.Separately, I bought the Cairns brush thinking I’d rather cleanse this glassware by hand than let it face the harshness and heat of a dishwasher. I also go the pipette – a little dab of water really makes a difference to open the aromas and flavors of the whisky.The Glencairn glass makes enjoying some of the world’s best Scotch whisky that much better!

Classic size and shape ( but too small for us)
These glasses are really small but good for their intended purpose. Thank goodness had time before Christmas to buy larger Libbey whisky glasses in classic “nosing” style to give instead and also the larger Glencairn mixer size (perfect 3rd time’s a charm purchase). This one will be a good gift accessory with a fine whiskey for someone else.

These glasses are the perfect size
Regular whisky glasses are more difficult to hold for those with smaller hands. The design of these classes is suitable for almost anyone and they are much more comfortable to drink out of than traditional whisky glasses. We liked them so much we’ve purchased three sets as holiday gifts this year!

These exceeded my expectations! Very well made and easier to wash than I first expected. It seems like they are quite universal. They work well for both Scotch and Liqueurs of all kinds. Price was affordable for the set of 4.Would recommend!

The interior packing of the box has been CHEAPENED it’s no longer like the customer video
They feel nice. A little smaller than I thought, but nice. If they were 20% larger they’d be perfect. I was planning on storing them in the box but due to the flimsy cardboard (barely protects) that’s probably not going to be an option. Since they are small and easy to knock over storage will definitely be an issue. Also need to be careful in using since again they are small. Can hold a 2 finger pour plus I use 1 ice cube (small)

If your like me and your sense of small is ass, then these really help you appreciate a whiskey more. The shape really funnels the aroma to your nose and if it definitely brings out some subtle nuances that you wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.
